Have you found any fix for the CD sound only playing once per level(not looping as it should)?
Thanks!

I can't seem to get the CD music to play at all (running 64bit, had to extract the key files and convert the .exe, having the image mounted seems to do nothing)

It could be an issue with using the ISO rather than the physical disc. I have it, and it does play the music, but only once for the entire level. About the best fix I can come up with is converting the music tracks to MP3 and then starting them up in your MP3 player as the level starts(as the game won't run in true full screen anyway, this isn't too hard to do).

As far as I recall, it's just simply redbook audio...you can use iTunes or any other given music software to convert the tracks. There are 17 tracks and even at maximum quality it only really amounts to 57 megs of data.

Hello, how are you doing? I just come to say that this does not work because even following the steps to the letter I get that I have not put it in system 32 even when I put the dll in system 32 and in syswow 64 and I also get error 0xc0000142 h

I'm not seeing anything in the instructions about placing any sort of file in a "System 32" folder, but rather just the "C:\Windows\SysWOW64". Maybe remove the DLL from System 32 and simply place it in "C:\Windows\SysWOW64"? It worked fine for me on Windows 10 64bit, but I do have a secondary HDD with my old Windows XP install and that's how I originally installed the game from(physical disc), by just moving it over to the Windows 10 HDD.
Still would like to get the music looping correctly, somehow...

If anyone's interested, I found a way to get the music working with the game. You'll need to get a set of .cue/.bin files and a program like Daemon Tools Lite for the .cue file. Here is where you can find the .cue/.bin files, be sure to keep them in the same folder. archive.org/details/garfield-caught-in-the-act-usa-rerelease-19971024Use Daemon Tools Lite, or such, to create a virtual drive and then mount the .cue file to it. This tells the drive that the "game's CD" is in the 'CD drive', and the .cue file will tell the game where the music tracks are in the 'CD' in order to shift tracks and loop when necessary. Also, be sure to turn on the music in the game's settings; it'd be still muted otherwise. I was able to do this with DOSBox-X and Windows 98 emulated, but I believe the virtual drive method will work for running the game's music on modern systems. I may have messed up a couple of steps, but I hope this helps others fix this issue.

I just tried it in Windows 10, unfortunately after trying to enable the CD music, it just keeps repeating the same question on if I want to enable it(as if it doesn't see the disc image at all). It's weird, I have the original disc and I can get music off of that, but it doesn't loop. I wonder if I create a set of cue and bin files from my actual disc, if I could get it working. At this point, the only thing I can imagine doing is to rip the music to MP3 and then just play it while playing the game. Ah well, I appreciate the info...maybe I'll get it running right at some point...
