hi mate, on nhl2000 i've done the whole shabang, managed to get the game open, through the opening video and then it jams on the page prior to the home screen where it shows the nhl, nhl pa and ea logo.. not sure what to do next. thanks a lopt for providing these nhl games

Will someone please fix the crashes that NHL 2001 and 2002 have when trying to go to any menu where teams can be selected?

Hey guys, I just got a new computer (Windows 10) and am trying to get NHL 2002 up and running again, but whenever I try to start a match, the game crashes... My previous computer also had Windows 10, and I got the game to work by installing the EA Sports patch and replacing the dx7z.dll, but somehow on this new one I can't get it to work... Does anyone have a suggestion/fix? I can click on the match but whenever it goes to load it crashes on windows 10 these days, so sad. |

I realized what was wrong via a reddit post: It was the ntdll dll file that crashed the game to desktop. I finally got a replacement that makes NHL 2001 work again.

I tried replacing the one in the SysWOW64 directory, but I cannot gain the permission to do so… as the only user on the computer! Putting the dll in the game directory does not fix the issue- in fact, it does absolutely nothing! |

Can you please fix the crash issues that NHL 2001 and 2002 have? Unless you do, I have no other way to play them than virtual machines or CrossOver, which is subscription-based.

The other ways include what I mentioned:
You can use a virtual machine made in VMWare (as an example) to play these games without facing the crash. I also did it to play NHL 2003, as well as NHL 99 when I was unable to solve a problem I had. You can either buy it, or find alternative methods to acquire it.
CrossOver, by Codeweavers, is a program for Mac, Chromebook, and Linux that simulates a Windows environment without the need for a Windows installation or a virtual machine. This is how I got around the crashes I faced. Just a fair warning: to get the full experience, you'll need a subscription.
Until Matt actually makes an effort to address this (which he probably won't, as he seems to be MIA), these are the only ways I can avoid the crashes, which seem to be blamed on ntdll.dll

I would like to ask if someone has the update patch for NHL 2002, to version v1.01.
It looks like they updated the game online, and there is no copy available of that update that I can find.
The reason is that I'm trying to make a recolpialtion of all this saga, and properly cleaning the original executables to allow compatibility with the new operating systems.

Anybody knows where can I download roster editor (Blomman's) for NHL 2002?
I know there is also NHLView, but that only works partially (from what I've read, for NHL2002 it's view-only mode, but it's somewhat editable - but not fully).
