Long story short, I attempted to install sorry onto my Windows 10 laptop... However, when attempting to launch the program, I get error: "0xc0000022", in which the application fails to start, and I am forced to exit the program. Any help on this? Thanks!

Hi hanman First things first - you tried running in Windows 95/Run as administrator modes? I'd scroll through the whole list - 95, 98, XP, etc. It's been awhile, but I remember this going wonky on me too at one point. I know this sounds nutty, but it would error on launch, and I'd just keep trying to launch it when suddenly it started working. After that I could never duplicate the error again.

Sadly I'm 4 months late on this, but for anyone else who comes across the error hanman had, the answer is to install DirectPlay.
Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features on or off > Open Legacy Components > Check DirectPlay

I followed your instructions on copying the folder over to the C: drive, checking Direct Play and it's still giving me an error. It says "The code execution cannot proceed because d3drm.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." Any further ideas?

Runs flawlessly on 64-bit Windows 10 under Virtualbox version 6.x emulating 32-bit Windows XP and using virtual clone CD-DVD drive software to mount ISO image.

The d3drm.dll is in the Setup/directx5/directx folder. copy it into Sorry! folder. Then right click on Sorry.exe and set compatibility to Windows95 and check off Administrator permissions. At that point it should run.

On that Black Screen with just the Cursor. Create the game folder directly on the desktop and run it from there. Worked for me, anyway, on that problem.

Hi, the Play.exe says Please Re-install Sorry, and the Bench.exe just appears a black screen and it pops out. Also no intro plays. Please make registry file with NoCD patch working.
