Have you (or anyone) been able to get High Heat 2002 by 3DO working on Windows 10? I’ve even tried going through an XP virtual machine, and can get it to load, but it crashes out after just a few seconds of actual gameplay.

Hi Zero - I never had that game, and unfortunately the only download link I can find is for the demo version. I installed that and it did run, but who knows how different it is from the real version.
What happens when you try to run it on 10? Do you get anything in the event viewer?

If I try to run it in the 10 environment, it will immediately come back to the desktop before the intro even begins... no error messages or anything. In the XP virtual machine, I can get a game started, but it’ll freeze, and the task manager will show that the CPU resources are overloaded. Reducing the graphics levels to the absolute minimum sees to work, but it’s kinda weird to play a game without the stadium walls...
Side note: prior to stumbling across this site, I legitimately thought I had the last working copy of Monster Truck Madness on the planet. I’m going to give your Triple Play, NHL and NBA Live fixes a try, too. Thanks for creating all of this!

I have High Heat 2002 working on Windows 10 (Fall Creator's Update, 64-bit). Did you install it to C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86)\? I install all older games into C:\Games\ rather than C:\Program Files (x86)\, so try that if you haven't already. I also applied a no-cd crack. Good luck!

Where did you get the no-cd crack? My understanding is that it bypasses problems with Windows 10 not supporting the SafeDisc DRM software, but I can't find the no-disc crack as the link is down at gamecopyworld.

I think I got the crack from megagames back in the day.

Just realized I linked files for NHL2002 instead of HH2002. Here is the file for High Heat 2002. It's working on Win 10, version 1909, 64-bit, with all Windows Update patches.

I saw this thread after searching the game for fun and wanted to relate my experience trying to get it to run in later days. When you have the full game it seems to be a matter of luck with the hardware configuration, and most often I've run into a crash to desktop partway through a game. It was designed to run on Windows 98 but I usually use some version of NT and always the No-CD patch. I found the official update patch for the game always seems to break it regardless, so I stopped trying to use it at all.
Currently I have a crash free environment running Windows XP on a Lenovo T520 laptop which has an i5-2520M, Intel HD Graphics 3000, and Conexant 20672 SmartAudio HD. My personal guess is the video and sound card have bearing on whether the game crashes or not, though I can't prove it.
Good luck!
