Any Chance of getting the Fifa 97-2004 Series working?

Hi there is... is there any chance of getting FIFA Series from 97 to 2004 working? I'd love Fifa 99 to work and perhaps Euro 2000.

Hi Josh -- I never really played those, but EA games usually can be made to work. I tested 99 and have it running.

FIFA 99 install steps:

(1) Insert your FIFA 99 CD, pop open a File Explorer window by pressing Windows key + E.

(2) Select your CD drive in File Explorer. Highlight the FIFA99.exe and EACSND.DLL files, as well as the DATA, THRASH, and SETUP folders. Right click and copy.


(3) Go back to your C: drive, and make the following path: C:\Games\Sports\FIFA99.

(4) Open the FIFA99 folder you just made, and paste the files you copied inside of it. When you're done, you should be looking at this:



(5) Download & install nGlide if you don't already have it.

(6) Download this file, and unzip it to the FIFA99/THRASH folder. You should be prompted to replace an existing file.



(7) Next you have to install registry keys - here are some pre-made ones -- just download the one that matches the letter of the drive you have your FIFA 99 CD in. Then, after you download the file, double click on it in explorer to add it to the registry. 

FIFA 99 Registry Key (For CD ROM Drive D:)
FIFA 99 Registry Key (For CD ROM Drive E:)
FIFA 99 Registry Key (For CD ROM Drive F:)




(8) Run the game by launching FIFA99.exe.

also if your game freezes on loading screen, i have made a special patch, which i would love to ask Matt to make a executable batch shortcut. I'll PM him that file. And he can post it for you to install it.

And for other FIFA games:
FIFA 97: the best shot is by running through DOSBOX,
FIFA 98: Road to World Cup and World Cup you can use the help from PC Gaming Wiki: pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/FIFA:_Road_to_World_Cup_98 and pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/FIFA_World_Cup_98
FIFA 2000 and Euro 2000 should install just fine, but on wrapper choice, i would suggest NGlide, even though dgvoodoo 2 can work with it, unfortunately it produces nasty case of "stretchmarks" in user interface,
on FIFA 2001, it installs just fine, but to run it, you need to right click then selecting compatibility tab and tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select Windows XP (service Pack 2)
on FIFA 2002: you need Sui's Fix (https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/921-fifa-2002-suis-fix/) as the game will crash if you have more than 2 GB RAM
and FIFA World Cup 2002, 2003 and 2004 should launch just fine without any problems.

nwm, that's why we're here for. Though, i'm using Windows 7 Home Premium, these methods i've described are tried by me and works.

Hmmm at my first attempt it didn't work. I will try again. I am using Windows 10. Could that be the issue?

Possibly, as Windows 10 has been built on different code base, unlike Windows 7.

Hey Guys i have the same issue, i click the exe and nothing happens. I Have followed your steps and no joy. I have Windows 10 Pro 64bit edition. Any ideas?

I have used the patch you have kindly uploaded. Many thanks. Still no Joy, i did get NHL 99 Working earlier in the year... i will see if i can make sure that works still, if it doesn't it could have something to do with the latest Windows 10 Update.
