Hi Matt,
thank you for advices. Before you gave me it, I triend to run NHL2000 without any compatibility mode. It turns out big step forward, game stop crashing a few seconds of play. BUT, it still crashing during animation , mainly penalty or fight ((player talks to referee, replay, crash during cut OR player talks to referee, replay, player at penalty box, crash during cut), or during animation start of end of period or game. Crash look like game screen freeze, windows cursor appears and sound go on and I have to end aplication in task manager.
I tried your way, but I have already "czech" in registry, so I rename it to "CZECH" (my folder in setup) and whole game turns to english (wich I havent problem with) and unfortunately still crash same way.
Could you give me some other advice please?

Hi Matt,
fortunately I found second copy on one of my HDDs - it´s english instalation. I paste everything with that and now is working. But definetely is corrupt our czech iso, I am second who´s reporting that.
Thank you for your help, now I am back in 2001s

No problem, but I wish we could have gotten the Czech one working for you. It's probably not a hard fix - most likely just a matter of that language in the registry. I thought "czech" would be what it is looking for, but obviously not. And if that line is incorrect, it must just revert the entire game to English. lol

I'm using a Mac to run Wine so I can play NHL 2000. I tried to install the patch, but it threw this error at me. How do I get around this error on Mac OS? Attachments:

Hello all, Just got a physical copy of NHL 2000. Since then, I've re-installed the game several times only to have it crash with the message "NHL2k.icd stopped working". Not sure where to go from here, any help would be appreciated. Thank you all.  |

I have NHL 98 working just fine, although one thing that bugs me slightly is that even though I have opted for full-screen, the game switches to an enlarged window once the game screen switches over to the in-game intros.
I'm using dgVoodoo 2.55.4, the game still runs fine in the enlarged window (even though my option is set to full-screen), but I'd prefer not to see my enlarged taskbar and background while attempting to play the game.
Has anyone else encountered this and know of a solution to have the game run at full-screen? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thankfully I haven't encountered any issues running NHL 2002 (which I'm having a blast with).

I have the same issue. Any luck solving it?
I did it with NHL 99, and it worked. But with NHL 2001, it is still saying Please insert your NHL 2001 disk into Drive Vid & try again. Then when I try the patch, it says the game was not installed properly. The ISO is on Drive I.
