hi i love the ultimate yahtzee but when i got windows 10 it wont play any more help need my yahtzee on comp have no one play with me since family grown up left home
help can i get other classic yahtzee games as well for windows 10

I was SO excited to find your information. I absolutely LOVE this game and though I'm ok with getting rid of other older games, I've held on to this hoping to find a way to make it work! I followed your directions carefully and everything seems to work except the fact that when I run it, it is zoomed in so far that I cannot get to the buttons at the bottom to continue playing. I tried unchecking the "run in 640x480" but when I loaded it, it was very small AND I STILL couldn't see the buttons because the window didn't stretch low enough. Is there a fix for this? I'd love to play more than 1 turn in this game! :-)

Im running win10. did everything and when i run exe it starts up then i click on game to play (Painted, Battle etc) it says to insert disc. I click ok and nothing. just get the opening screen. So close yet so far. Any suggestions?

It has been quite some time since you last had a question about this. I hope you will see this post. I did everything you said to do in your tutorial. I am able to play the classic game, but none of the other ones. Even though I have the disk in, it says to insert disc. I click on Okay but nothing happens.

You wrote previously: Did you download the Yahtzee.ini file from the guide and copy it to your C:\Windows directory? That file is required in order for the other variations to work - and depending what version of Windows you're using, you might have to set your Yahtzee.exe to run as administrator as well.

If you're still having problems I can post up a different version of the ini - you'll have to have the CD in your disk drive in order to play, which is kind of a buzz kill, but if it works it works.

Did you ever post up a different version of the ini? Perhaps that is what I need. Thank you.

I read your tutorial for running Ultimate Yahtzee “in the modern age.” 😉
I have not yet tried it. But, if it works, perhaps that technique will also work for other games for which there are not easy setup installers (examples: Frogger [ www.old-games.com/download/6104/frogger-he-s-back- ] and Battleship 2: Surface Thunder [ www.old-games.com/download/6502/battleship-2-surface-thunder ]). I have a question, though. In your screenshot, you show Painted Yahtzee. That variant is part of why I am trying to find a solution for running the game in full on my computers. My cousin loves rainbows and I wanted to show that game to her because of those (the rainbow and the color house). Also, it would simply be nice to not be limited to only games with easy setup files. On to the question: Does your method allow for playing Ultimate Yahtzee with CD music or will that still not disallowed?

I followed all instructions (I am under Windows 10) everything is working except that everytime I am trying to play the system asked me to insert the original CD... is there a way to avoid this? Thanks!!!!

Hello, I tried following your instructions, but when I double-click on Yhatzee.exe it resized all of my windows and ends up on an explorer window, it does not run the game. I am on a Lenovo Yoga 9i, 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1185G7 @ 3.00GHz, Windows 10
laptop. Any suggestions?

I have an issue I am certain someone else has mentioned but I didn't see. I am able to play the original version, but the other Yahtzee modes on the disc cannot be played (Pyramid, Battle, Painted, etc...) How do I get those running?

how do I edit the game to show where the three dlls are, its asking to insurt the cd when I dont have a cd player
