hey, Matt. VirtuaIceMan actually responded to me with this: "I'd need to check at home to be sure, but I know I'm using a no-CD executable on that, plus the official patch (1.09)."

Hmm...unless I'm missing something I already tried that. Here are the links I used: F1 2000 1.09 Patch link1.09 No CD link
That VIDEO.CFG file in the directory is intriguing but I can't make heads or tails of what's in it.

OMG!!!!! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!!! I FIXED IT!!! I managed to run F1 2000 without crashing and here's how, i did usual procedure of applying 1.09 patch, but then you, Matt, actually found a real 1.09 crack cuz for some reason you found european Gamecopyworld site, not the major official gamecopyworld.com which only had 1.0 cracks, and this no cd executable was the proper .exe cuz it did bringed the bottom menu called "unsopported features of F1 2000" which had alien logo and i found that ACT Labs RS Shifter, mipmapping and track autoload setting was set to "off" (my money's on latter one) and it actually load the track without crashing. And low and behold it still running stable and in dgvoodoo 2's dx mode.

Also i set the game to compatibility mode under Windows XP SP2 and run as administrator EDIT: After 30 mins of testing, it still crashes, but now it actually turns odds in my favor of actually letting me into the track. And to make these odds stay in your favor, DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT, enter championship mode first if ya had saved progress in it, go to "Test Day", "Quick Race" and "Grand Prix" modes first, cuz my theory (and it's just a theory) is that game needs "ok, boys, the game loads fine and it's showtime" assurance due to loading car models in driver select screen. And here's the proof: imgur.com/a/iN2CV

Very interesting! I've got a test for you -- what happens when you attempt a test day and rotate through a few cars at the driver select menu before trying to load the track, as opposed to loading the game and immediately trying to load a track *without* swapping drivers.
I noticed just now that if I launched the game and tried to go straight to the track, it crashed on me every time. If I stopped at the driver select menu and scrolled through the driver list, the track loaded for me a good percentage of the time. I haven't done enough testing to 100% confirm that this isn't a fluke, but it would tie in with your theory about car models.

uhmmm, i tried it, no changes for me, it instantly loads up the track without any trouble, it only crashed when i enter championship mode or when i start messing with games options when i first boot up the game.

and i even managed to switch to any other mode after i exited test day, quick race and gran prix mode. And i also fixed issues to run F1 Championship season 2000 under win xp sp2 compatibility and administrator mode. That game is different from F1 2000 as it was released after 2000 F1 season was over and was first one to introduce driving school mode with special 2 and 3 seaters, iirc.

and in that game, it only crashes when i pick championship season and driving school first instead of other modes.

Hey Matt.
About the Moto Racer Games, here's what i know about them on modern systems: I did checkout the link you posted but it didn't really help. I own the Moto Racer Collection on Steam. Which includes Moto Racer 1, Moto Racer 2, Moto Racer 3, and Moto Racer 15th Anniversary Edition. Now you'd think the steam version would be working on current systems right? Wrong. These are broken beyond belief.
Moto Racer 1: Doesn't even run. I also heard from people that got it running, that when you run championship races, the words, ILLEGAL VERSION flashes across the screen.
Moto Racer 2: That doesn't even run either. Another thing i heard from people that got this running as well, is when you run races, the gears don't change. Now I do own the retail for this game and it has a 16-bit installer. I did what i said for the yahtzee installation and replaced it with a 32-bit installer. Got it installed and it doesn't run either. The main reason i bring this up is because the soundtracks in the game are different from the retail disc, steam and GOG versions.
Moto Racer 3 and Moto Racer 15th Anniversary Edition: Again steam versions don't work.
I haven't tried the GOG versions of these games yet. But, I heard people had better success running those versions. Might be worth checking out. If want to give these games a crack, Steam or retail, let me know.

Btw, VirtuaIceMan is using Win10 64bit with Nvidia 980 GTX on his oldies as he answered my question on what hardware and OS he has so we're probably the first to manage it running at win 7.

Well...really you're the first You did all the work...plus I'm on Windows 10. Still crashes for me if I don't swap rides first. Wish I could straighten that out so I could post up on the site, has been a while. Thanks for the info DJ - might be a bit until I can get to it but I'll def. check them out. Pretty horrible to hear that about the Steam versions; sounds like they're just ripping people off.

hehehehe, thanks, man. Appreciate it. It was a 2 weeks long battle between me and the game. And on steam version case either most developers have gone full derp or companies outsource these projects to studios who have no clue on how pc porting and remastering works, very infamous case is gta:sa steam version: in which they even managed overlook issues they already patched previously in retail versions and oh...no mods for you with this San Andreas version, likely reason why many, many, many people downgraded their steam versions to make it into retail ones, so that famous mods like SA:MP would be an actual option to use.

Hi,
First I Followed you instructions to install Ultimate Yahtzee. Works great. Thank You.
Have not done Sierra Ultra Pinball Creep Night yet. I will do that later. I would like to also be able to install Sierra Ultra Pinball The Lost Continent I guess it would be similar to Creep Night.
Other games I would like to install at Sierra Ultra Mini Golf Deluxe and Hasbro Slingo.
Please let me know if you have instructions on any of the games above other than Creep Night which I know you have.
Thank You, EVE
