well, here's a funky thing, like i mentioned earlier mess affected only FIFA Manager 11 as any other versions before and after that game just fine on my rig. But i'll try your fix, so i will report you on progress of that. And corresponding video cards: on my Lenovo E51 laptop where game worked it uses Intel HD Graphics 520, on the one that didn't worked: GTX 950 MSi Gaming 2 GB. EDIT: So after 3 minutes i did that longhost fix and i got this error pictured in the attachment, any ideas?

That's....interesting. For laughs - could you try that regsvr command for gfxcore on the Lenovo laptop? I'm curious to see if it gives you the same message.

No. I can't since it's installed in Program Files(x86) and that i had issues with finding it on command prompt. EDIT: I finally opened it command prompt using right shift and right click on that folder folder. And nope, still the same error as with gaming rig here.

These FIFA games are kicking my butt Is your version of Manager 11 from a DVD or a download, maarcis? It couldn't be another Origin or Steam thing where you have to reinstall the software in order for the game to work, right? Wish I could download the demo to see what it does on my rig, but my only internet currently is through a mobile hotspot with very limited data - by next month hopefully I'll have some real internet again and can download the thing. You'll probably have fixed the game yourself long before then, though

Well, i have the torrented version, cuz at that time i still was in unemployed status b4 i found a job half-a-year ago. And don't worry this game has been eating me for 2 yrs already, so i doubt that i'll find a solution anytime soon. Yeah, Bright Future GmBH, the devs behind the FIFA Manager series ain't particularly great with having great compatibility with their games, wasn't nuff that FIFA Manager 06 instalation will crash on the end if you're using OS newer than XP (i fixed it by using VMWare), now FIFA Manager 11 is now having issues with my gaming rig.

Hi Maarcis, it's always good to hear from you!
You haven't caused me any trouble! Just been hard for me the last few months. Been staying in an apartment with no internet access, and most of my 'gamey' stuff has been in storage. Haven't been able to really help even the few people who have stopped by the forum. If I ever get settled again I'd love to get back to this site and revisit FIFA 11 and some of the other loose ends.

Oh for the love of Hasbro...they released two awesome LAN functioning trivia games in the late 90's. Outburst and Super Scattergories. Super Scattergories was AMAZING. I've got the original CD's and I've tried and tried, but no dice. Any suggestions?

Hi kitty,
Cool, those are two Hasbro games I didn't even know about! I looked online and found a download of Outburst; what does that do when you try to run it?

Hi kitty, Cool, those are two Hasbro games I didn't even know about! I looked online and found a download of Outburst; what does that do when you try to run it? Hey Matt, I just reloaded it. Actually, it works!!!!...but insists that it runs off the CD. I'm going to try Scattergories next. I'd love to find a work-around so it doesn't have to run off the CD.

Okay, I think I found a way to make Outburst run without the CD, but it's a bit of a process. (1) Put in your Outburst CD and open up File Explorer. Now, I'm not sure what version of Windows you're on, but if you get a prompt like this: Click on that and then select "Open folder to view files" If you don't get this prompt, you can open File Explorer by hitting Windows key+E, or by typing in File Explorer in Windows search. However you do it, once you're in File Explorer you have to click on your CD-ROM drive in the sidebar. You should see a list of files. (2) Highlight and copy the audio and movies folders. (3) Now, you have to navigate to your outburst folder on your hard drive (which, unless you changed the path during install, will probably be something like C:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive (x86)\Outburst) Once you're inside the Outburst folder, do a CTRL-V or click paste in the toolbar to copy the audio and movie folders to your hard drive. After this file transfer is completed, go back to your CD drive, and look inside the "art" folder. There is a subfolder named commercial. Highlight and copy that folder over to your hard drive just like you did with the audio and movies folder. Basically, when you're done, your Outburst folder has to look like this: Next, you need to open the outburst.ini file in notepad. Right at the top of the file you'll see artPath, audioPath, moviePath, commPath...now, whatever it says in that area, you need to change it so it reads like the following: artPath=art audioPath=audio moviePath=movies commPath=commercial Click File > Save and then try to run the game. I know this is pretty convoluted...if you have trouble, let me know -- I can make a video which might be easier to follow.

Wow! Thanks Matt!
I'm going to give it a shot tonight. Your instructions are not convoluted at all, they are very clear. I'm assuming it worked for you? I'm also going to try the same approach with Scattergories (the better of the two games).

Yes, it worked for me on my Windows 10 laptop. Well, I didn't actually play through a full game, but I was able to start one. Hoping that means everything is going to work ok. lol. Let me know how it goes. I would love to be able to look at Super Scattergories, but I haven't found a download link for it yet. At least I haven't found one that doesn't look like an obvious virus.

Yes! Worked for me too. Thanks again for figuring that out.
Scattergories doesn't have an ini. file. Is there any way I could email and ISO of the CD to you? (Dropbox?)
I've also found the links to Scattergories on the web look fishy (as do Pictionary...and the very rare UPWORDS).

Hey, that's great. Be really cool if I could get my hands on that ISO. I don't have Dropbox, but I have a OneDrive account I never use. I sent you a private message with the account info.
