Hi Jimmy,
No, you're looking in the right place from the sound of it. I can send it to you - just wondering if it's the same version. Do you have these folders on your CD? Any that aren't listed here?
This is the list of folders I have when I look at the CD:
ANIMS BIN CDGFX DIRECTX ENGLISH FRONTGFX GAMEGFX INTOUTRO MPLAYER PALETTES SAVEGAME SAVESETUP SOUNDS VIDEO

Hi Stuart,
That has been an ongoing problem several people have reported. The only solution I've heard of, and it's not really a solution but more of a workaround, is to turn off 'battleboxes' in options.
Thanks for posting the log - the ddraw.dll entry is interesting. What version of Windows do you have?

I've two disks working on two different computers, and I was wondering how to get a multiplayer game going?
What files would I need to copy?

Hi Two, I just checked and I don't seem to have the multiplayer CD; I just have the "Host" CD. If you have an older computer available, or a virtual machine, you could try installing it on that and see if you can mimic the file structure.
Or, if you can post up the ISO of the 2nd CD I can look at it.

Thanks for that! Looks like it's an exact copy of the first CD. Seems like the idea was to give you a second CD so you could play a friend or family member over a network if you had two computers in the house. Pretty heady stuff for 1996.
If you already have the game working on 2 separate PCs, you should already have the files you need. The tricky part will be getting around whatever firewalls are set up.
Can try adding Risk to the Windows Firewall exception list first. For Windows 10:
Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall > Click change settings > Allow another app > Select your Risk.exe

Hi Matt, My risk.exe file is only24kb instead of 366kb and it is not located in the English folder. I have no risk.exe file in the English folder. Which other items do I need to copy to my hard drive to get the risk.exe app to start?
