Haven't been here in a while. Matt, I hope you keep finding yourself some more problems to solve, I'm sure you help some people out there.

Hi Jimbo, it's good to see you again. I haven't done much with the site lately - got busy with a couple other projects, and also I've about run out of games from my collection that were messed up. lol.

Hello, Matt. I got two suggestions for you, can you do gamefixes for Need For Speed Special Edition and Colin Mcrae Rally 1?

well, Colin McRae Rally 1 has the same issues as your fixed games although i can't seem to run it dgvoodoo cause after intro video it crashes back to desktop and nglide doesn't seem to support it. And NFS SE is the first and only title that i can't run since it's the only one to use DOS instead of usual windows system. Apologies in advance for not replying faster.

OK, I'll check them out. Love racing games. Now if it's a DOS-only game we're talking, DosBox is really going to be your only alternative.

Hi maarcis, seems someone else beat me to the Colin fix kfyatek-dev.jogger.pl/2011/09/25/colin-mcrae-rally-1-unofficial-windows-7-patch/Installing the 1.5 patch and unzipping the Win7 fix as outlined here fixes the game on my Win10. I didn't need dgvoodoo to play - you might have to fiddle with some of the in-game graphics options until it looks right. I had to select the Permedia 2 chipset in advanced options before I could turn up some of the graphics settings.

Hello,
this might not be the right thread but I do have pretty bad performance in older games generally. The frame rate is ok but the frame time is out of the roof which causes the game to lag heavily at some points even though I got 100+ FPS. Does anyone else experience this and probably know how to fix this?

Hi Dan -- Which version of Windows do you use? You mentioned older games generally - what's one specific game that acts like that? Lot of times stuff like that happens because DirectDraw support is depreciated in newer Windows...if it's just that you can usually use DgVoodoo as a work around. Maarcis -- check out this video for instructions on how to run NFS in DosBox - unfortunately this is the only option - that game is too old to run inside Windows natively.

Hi, it's me again. I wanted to ask your on another oldie, this time it's FIFA 2001 and it's bit serious on my part because whenever i start the game, it shows a blank black screen instead of EA Sports splash and intro video and also menu was cropped so tiny that it's impossible to navigate, i even tried nglide wrapper, same result also tried to find fix for it on the internet, no luck so far sadly. Can you help me on this one? Also i wanted to acknowledge you that i recently picked up MSi GTX 950 2 GB videocard and extended my RAM from 4 to 12 GB.
