well, i tried it as well as many other fixes as possible (changing the name of my pc account, getting all Visual Studio C versions, editing aspect ratio through fifasetup.ini, deleting replay0.bin, even alt tabbing, even waiting) , but as usual on this game, it didn't do anything, the best i could get out of it was freezing after fraction of a second on language selection screen and i have windows media player enabled by default, so it must be something else. Also i tried updating dx, no change whatsoever, and no, Windows 7 is still good till 2020. Also on my Lenovo IBM Thinkpad E530 laptop which has exactly the same OS, it actually runs, weird isn't it? Plus more weirdly is that FIFA 12 and 14-16 can still run it.

OK, so you've already done pretty much everything I would have suggested. lol
This isn't much, but -- I did see someone on the EA forum write that his game would only work in windowed mode? This is what he wrote:
After trying and trying I figured out that my game only works in Windowed mode now for some reason. Still it takes like 3-5min before the game launches but I'm no longer stuck at the "Messi screen".
It's definitely weird that it works on the Lenovo; then again, maybe not. I've seen some bizarre behavior out of PC games. As crazy as having two identical PCs, same make, same model, same OS, same everything, and a game works on one but not the other.

yeah, it's mostly badly done ports on pc, primal example would be Batman: Arkham Knight, where port on pc was so bad, Steam got massive negative noise from users, which led to WB Games pulling it down from Steam and other places to fix the issues. Also Nvidia lately have done a bad job on drivers as well. But, thx anyways for solution, Matt. And sorry, if those games were out of topic.

i'll try the windowed solution. EDIT: I tried, same result, so i'm gonna play it on my Lenovo which will be out of repair service soon enough.

Hey, Matt. After 3-4 days of non-stop battle, i finally cracked the culprit and finally made FIFA 13 run on my rig. Turns out i had to uninstall EA Origin software to fix it.

Ughhhh, I remember someone mentioning Origin and I swear I was going to mention that to you next, but I figured you were tired of me sending you on a goose chase. lol. Glad you got it!
How about the FIFA Manager 11?

ok, so after 2 days of battle with FIFA Manager 11 including countless visits to forums, turns out that this games developers had a oversight, when they didn't made this game to run on 64-bit machines. Ain't that great?

Wow, where did you see that? That would be ludicrous for a game released in 2010. Typical EA.

Hi, it's me again. Now here's an really old game i wanted your help on a matter. It's called Total Club Manager 2003 made by EA Sports(yeah, another one). This time it's actually might be a real doozie for you, because i can't even install it due to 64-bit compatibility issues which is weird since german equivalent Fussball Manager 2003 didn't had that issue. I tried to install on my win xp virtual machine then move the installed files to my physical one, but it doesn't work. Would love to hear a solution from you, when you have chance to own that game. Cause i tried so hard in other forums to find it, plus german and english version actually has a very different save game system.

Hi maarcis What happens when you try to run the game? Right now I'm on a road trip with very limited internet access so it will be hard for me to do toooo much the next week or so. I did find this zeus forum thread -- not sure if you've seen it or if it might be helpful in any way. Total Club Manager 2003As an aside, in that thread was a really interesting link about installing apps with 16 bit setup programs -- I haven't tested it yet but it sounds like a far better method for installing 16 bit apps than what I have here. Lol Installing 32-bit apps with 16-bit setup stubs

Yeah, i read that post long time ago, but sadly my iso didn't had neither 32-bit instalator and neither those described files.

OK - what happens when you try to run the game from the copied files? Do you get an error or does it just sit there and do nothing?
I'm trying to track down an iso version to look at - so far all I've found are rips.

it refused to run from copied files, saying that it needs to be installed, even applying crack didn't change that.
