I have no problem with the arena commentator, maybe you should try different iso (cd image) file. But I have occasional problem with choppy graphics (low framerate) from time to time. Let mw know if you solved that. Yes, i solved this problem, thanks for asking. On a newer computer, the game would hang in play offs anyway. I also have an older computer with windows xp system but it was damaged. I formatted the drive and reinstalled it. I finished the game, I won the championship with my Los Angeles Lakers. The ARENA option on the old computer was working fine.

yeah I have problems with playoffs too on '99. Probably a good idea to install XP on another drive or as virtual machine. now installed 2000 and graphics are insane, I have no idea why people play this big modern boring games

Hi Matt. I'm trying to launch NBA Live 98 using your instruction on my old HP laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate SP 1 on the board. The game launches without error only in Windows XP Service Pack 3 compatibility mode, but after the intro the screen goes black. No error message, just black screen until I kill the process. I'd love to play it after almost 15 years... Do you have any idea what else (apart from what you mantioned in here and the instructions on the site) could go wrong?

Hi, I was just reading your instructions on classicgamefixes.wixsite.com/home/nba-live-2000I am trying to install this game from my original disk. Instructions are good until I got to the part where it says that I need to copy The Download install.dat file which matches my CD drive. My drive is H: and you don't have a file for that. Is it possible for you to create and upload a Download install.dat file And a Download the Registry Key for CD Drive H: files? I hope this isn't too big of an ask, I don't have any idea how difficult it is to create these files. Please just let me know either way. Cheers, Jason.

I know this won't be helpful to add, but I am having the same issue on a Windows 10 PC. I followed the installation process on Matt's website (thanks heaps for that resource by the way, very useful), however when I run the exe file I just get a black screen. I've changed different compatibility modes and none seem to work. It would be great to know if I'm doing anything wrong, or if my PC simply won't run it

Update - Through some more tinkering I got this to work for NBA Live 98. Sergiou - in the nGlide Configurator, the newer version seems to have a setting the previous didn't, which is the first one "Video backend". Change this from Default to DirectX and set the NBA Live 98 exe file to run in Windows 95 Compatibility mode. Thanks again Matt for your amazing resource

Can you do fix with NBA Live 97? I want the game to make it work. Without using OTVDM and 16-bit installer.

Hello, Matt. Do you still provide assitance with old NBA Live games?. I'm having issues with NBA Live '99. Once I pass the first round of the playoffs, the game freezes when I press play or try to save. Do you know what the problem could be?. Thank you very much.

I am having a problem with NBA Live 2001 on Windows 10, On the pre-game starting lineups screen, the game exits out and the resolution doesn't change back to my desktop's resolution until after a few clicks, used your guide too, Can you help me with this? This renders the game unplayable.
